Disney Genie has officially made its way to Disney World and we’ve been bringing you a look at everything you need to know about the newest features!

As part of Disney Genie, guests can opt to purchase access to new Lightning Lanes (aka old FastPass lanes) at select attractions throughout all four parks. And, it looks like some are more popular than others, as one attraction has sold out for the SECOND day in a row!
Yesterday, Individual Lightning Lane return windows for Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios sold out by 9:45AM, and today they were gone once again by 9:50AM!

If you’re not familiar, Rise of the Resistance is considered an Individual Attraction Selection, meaning that guests hoping to “skip the line” here must pay a separate cost per person that can vary (for these past two days it has been $15). The attraction is NOT included in Disney Genie+, but it can be purchased on top of or without also buying the Genie+ services.

When Lightning Lane windows sold out yesterday, a Cast Member shared with us that they were hoping to open up additional windows for later in the day sometime after 1PM or 2PM. This did not end up happening yesterday, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t happen in the future.

But, if you’re hoping to skip the standby wait at Rise of the Resistance (which tends to peak at around 120 minutes) on your next trip, then you might want to secure your Lightning Lane return windows early in the morning.

Currently, all other Individual Attraction Selections still have return times available. Of course, we will continue to keep an eye out for when (or if) additional return times become available today, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!

Do you plan on purchasing a Lightning Lane return window for Rise of the Resistance? Let us know in the comments!
I just wonder how long it will take for Disney to either raise the price of individual lightning lane purchases at RotR or to sell more of them at the current price (which will drive the wait time at the standby queue up, which may make more people want to buy the individual upcharge!)
I am coming to Disney next weekend and I do want to purchase Rise of the Resistance, but I am wondering if you get to choose a return time range?
