We’ve been keeping our fingers crossed today for the PeopleMover to reopen in Magic Kingdom after MONTHS of being closed.

Disney has updated the attraction’s hours of operations, and a special guest took a spin on the ride yesterday. Even though Disney had announced that the PeopleMover would be opening today, there has been continuous maintenance that has caused delays already.

As we’ve checked up on the ride throughout the day, now we’ve seen Cast Members who have been evacuated from the PeopleMover.

They were allowed to take a test ride, but soon after, we saw them being evacuated from the ride. At this time, it’s still unclear when it will reopen. Earlier in the morning, we have gotten varying answers about when the attraction would be opening with “no estimated time of operation” and “later today or tonight.”

We’re not entirely sure what maintenance or other issues are happening with the ride. Still, we’ll re-visit the attraction throughout the day to see what its status is. And you know we want to ride!

In the meantime, there has been a long line of guests waiting around to see if the attraction will reopen.
