NEWS! Savi's Workshop Will Be Reopening SOON at Disney World!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the newest, and arguably the most popular spot to visit over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Given the current health and safety protocols, some attractions have changed or been on hiatus, including the lightsaber building experience over at Savi’s Workshop in Galaxy’s Edge. While Savi’s reopened with the park, it notably reopened without some of the show qualities, including the option to make your own lightsaber. However, Disney has just announced a reopening date for this exciting experience — and it’s SOON!

Savi’s Workshop will reopen on September 20th, when guests can once again build a custom lightsaber with immersive elements! Reservations will be available to book starting on September 16th and they will also take some walk-up reservations during park days. We strongly recommend booking your experience beforehand as reservations fill up fast.

Disney stated that the experience will be a little different than it was prior to closing. Capacity will be reduced so they can accommodate physical distancing between travel groups. That said, the video Disney released shows a young Jedi building his saber and choosing a colored kyber crystal. Some of the elements we’ve seen before will be present in the modified experience.

It should be noted that all guests must make a Disney Park Pass reservation before entering any of the Disney World theme parks. We’ll continue to keep our eyes peeled for more Disney World news and updates!
