The only reason this earns a 5 is one genuinely magical moment: timing your ride to catch the nightly fireworks from 80 feet up. If you pull that off, it's special—genuinely worth the effort.
Without that fireworks moment? This drops to a 3. The views are nice, but the journey to get there (the elevator, the queue) overshadows the actual experience. The ride vehicles are cramped—fine if you're solo, but less than ideal if you're sharing a seat with someone else after hours in the Florida heat. The rotation is slow, the thrill factor is minimal, and the overall pacing feels like you're waiting more than you're experiencing.
Worth it? Only if you're committed to timing those fireworks. Otherwise, skip it or hit it during a rope-drop lull if lines are negligible

This vintage Tomorrowland attraction has incredible views of the castle and is more thrilling than the other Dumbo style attractions but I have one con. I think it should be on lightning Lane multipass because sometimes it can get lengthy weights.
Pros:
Amazing view of the castle. More thrilling than other Dumbo style attractions. Vintage Tomorrowland attraction.Cons:

This old Disney vintage Tomorrowland attraction has some exceptional views, especially at night and is more thrilling than other Dumbo style attractions but sometimes isn't memorable and not always a must do.
Pros:
Good view of the castle(especially at night) More thrilling than Dumbo or magic carpets of Aladdin. Vintage Tomorrowland attraction.Cons:
Might get motion sickness. Similar to other Dumbo style attractions. Some find it too thrilling.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 02/10/2026

This ride is best at night. The seating and ride set up are old school. It offers great views of tomorrowland and the castle. Best Ariel Carosel in Disney!
Pros:
Great views Thrilling Old school nostalgic seating and ride set upCons:
It seems a little bit faster than dumbo so can induce motion sickness Hard to get in and out of the seatsReviewed by TaraMartin Review Date: 09/24/2024

Always a fav for our family but not ideal for anyone with a fear of heights and it can be difficult for some to get in and out of the rockets.
Pros:
Great Magic Kingdom views, amped up Dumbo style attraction.Cons:
Rockets can be hard to get in and out of, extra high up, brutal loading and unloading process with the elevatorsReviewed by JReclipse13 Review Date: 07/21/2024

A big NOPE for me … the only ride anywhere that has ever brought me to tears .. frightening
Pros:
I can’t think of a single oneCons:
Please do not compare this to dumbo … sweet little dumbo doesn’t attempt to tip you over and pour you outReviewed by magicalmelanie Review Date: 05/18/2024

Astro Orbiter sits in the hub of Tomorrowland, on top of Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies. Although similar to a couple of other attractions in Magic Kingdom, Astro Orbiter soars to new heights, literally. This attraction has a unique loading process which involves a pair of elevators bringing guests up to ride. When taking flight on this ride, you have a view of the park that you can't get anywhere else, but you might find that your rocket isn't too spacious. An adult and child might find the rocket to be comfortable, but if you are thinking of riding with another adult...you won't have a lot of room to work with. I I enjoy riding Astro Orbiter, but it wouldn't be my first pick of attractions in Tomorrowland.
