Disney Changes ICONIC Cast Member Costumes

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening in Disneyland on November 15th, but that’s not the only change coming to the park!

The area where Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, previously Splash Mountain, sits in what used to be called Critter Country, but it is getting a renaming. At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, it was announced that Critter Country will be renamed Bayou Country, and it will essentially be absorbing all the things that previously were part of Critter Country. But along with a new name comes new branding and NEW Cast Member costumes!

Disney released a video on Instagram showing off the new Cast Member uniforms for the new Bayou Country! Each area of the land will get new costumes. They showed off the new attractions Cast Member costumes at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

It was exciting to get a sneak peek inside the ride along with the new costumes!

They also showed off the costumes for those who will be working in retail.

These included a couple of sets of outfits.

Plus, the custodial team will have designated new costumes!

Other new costumes include those working in entertainment.

These costumes come in a couple of new styles, as well.

And, of course, food and beverage Cast Members will see new costumes, too!

We’re excited for all the new costumes to arrive in Bayou Country, which Disney shared are coming soon!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure isn’t the only attraction getting redone in Bayou Country. This part of Disneyland also includes Hungry Bear Restaurant, which is also getting a new Country Bears theme and a new name: Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. The restaurant will include a brand new menu featuring barbecue, as well as some other Southern-style items. Disney has not yet revealed an opening date for the new restaurant.

The area is also getting two new Princess and the Frog-themed stores, which are replacing pre-existing shops. Ray’s Berets is replacing The Briar Patch, and Louis’ Critter Club is taking over the left side of Pooh Corner. Bayou Country will also include The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

This area of the park has undergone several name changes since the park’s opening, but we’re sure Bayou Country is going to be lots of fun once again!
