This resort is awesome! Outstanding outside and room theming! Stayed in the Lion King suite and was in complete awe of all the details! The walk in shower with the sun OMG so stunning! Loved the pool bar with Frose! The Cars pool is underrated! Loved the quiet and being able to relax in an actual Cozy Cone!Food typical of value resort.

Pros:

Lots of unique picture opportunities! Now on the Skyliner faster transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Theming amazing!

Cons:

Farthest bus stop for pick up and drop offs at Animal and Magic Kingdoms! Long bus waits for resorts not on skyliner. Not the resort to stay if not want be around families. Food just okay

Roomy and well-themed, especially if you have small children. We really enjoyed having both a refrigerator and a microwave oven, as well as the coffee maker. It was a little tight for our party (3 adults and 3 children ages 6 - 9), but Guest Services brought us a rollaway bed so we slept fine. The pools were wonderful. Dining was average but adequate at Landscape of Flavors.

Pros:

You can sleep up to six adults, and you do have a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.

Cons:

It can be a little cramped if you have more than two adults or your children are older.

I recently stayed here for the first time in a Lion King room with my seven year old. It was wonderful because we both had a bit of personal space. It was clean and comfortable and perfect for our trip together.

Pros:

Awesome theming and the suites allow for some extra space

Cons:

Not a lot of food options

We had a fantastic stay at this resort!! The Disney magic is everywhere. The different pools, the family atmosphere, the skyliner transportation, the themed rooms...everything was perfect! Our only complaint would be the size of the resort. Walking to and from our room was a 10-12 minute walk. With 3 small children, coming back to the hotel after a day long at the parks, the walk to our room was long.
We will definitely return to this resort. Our kids will be older too, so the dreaded walk to our room should not be a problem next time.

Pros:

Themed rooms Skyliner Different choices of pools Food variety Family atmosphere Friendly staff Disney magic is everywhere!

Cons:

Big resort Crowded Long walk to transportation No water slide

Cons:

Can be a long walk to transportation

We booked into The Little Mermaid Rooms here and due to a happy accident they gave us an upgrade to the Finding Nemo Suite. The Finding Nemo suite was amazing, the location was nice and close to the main check in and having 2 bathrooms made it so quick and easy to get ready in the morning and to relax in the evenings.

Pros:

The Suites having separate bedrooms and multiple bathrooms. Fun Themes. Nice big pool. Cute decorations all around the resort. Great Food options for dietary restrictions.

Cons:

The Little Mermaid rooms were such a long walk from the main reception and buses.

We stayed in the Little Mermaid section of Art of Animation. I think part of the issues we had were they hadn't updated the room we were in, and I've heard that the rooms that are updated are much better than the older ones. Our room was... ok. It's definitely very small. With two adults and 2 suitcases we were overloaded and had zero space. There were gnats all over the sink area and around the lights when they were turned on. And because there's a pool right outside, the floor of our room was soaked from the family before us and the whole room smelled like chlorine. Other than the room issues, the walk to the transportation was actually not that bad at all, and I was using a rollator due to my hip problem. The skyliner was a great bonus to staying here and even buses weren't too bad on wait times if you got there earlier and not too close to park opening. I would consider staying again in a family suite with more people, but for two people I'd probably opt for Pop Century.

Pros:

Cute theming, the walk to the transportation wasn't too bad, pretty decent quick service restaurant and attached store.

Cons:

Little Mermaid rooms are TINY even for only two people. Floors were soaked from family before us. Gnats in the room.

We really enjoyed our stay at AoA. The cast member at check in was very helpful and they were able to accommodate my room requests even though we only payed for the standard suit and not preferred. The room was very clean and well themed. The beds in the main space were a bit small. For safety reasons we put our kids in the bedroom and slept on the murphy bed, while grandma and grandpa took the pull out. The pool was great, but did have a few blind spots when trying to watch your little ones from the side. They had a lot of games and entertainment going on at the pool which a lot of the kids seemed to like. They were a little loud at times and took up most of the shallow end, which to our family was a con, because DD & DS aren't able or really interested in participating in the games.

We LOVED being so close to the skyliner and also enjoyed the food court. It has tons of variety, but could be a little crowded at times.

Pros:

Great theming. Cool Pricing. On skyliner route. Nice pool. Pretty good food court.

Cons:

Pool activities take up a lot of the pool space, can be loud and happen very often. If you were in a further building you could have quite a bit of walking to do to get to the food court & transportation.
