Art of Animation has always been one of my dream resorts to stay at, and it surpassed my expectations! My family and I stayed in a Little Mermaid room, which was immersivly decorated! loved getting to walk through the Loin King section to get to breakfast every morning. We loved the theming of everything and the cast members were wonderful!

Pros:

- Amazing theming - Wonderful cast members - Skyliner access - Concept art in the lobby area! - Really nice immersive theming details in the rooms

Cons:

- Walk from further rooms to lobby may be annoying to some

This was where my family stayed at out first stay. My niece loved the theming. We stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms. It was a little far from Landscape of Flavor, but not a bad walk with fun theming.

Pros:

good value and on the Skyliner. Food isn't bad and great for small children. Big pool with smaller pools on the outer laying sections.

Cons:

it is so read out. Only one quick service option for food.

As this was likely a once in a lifetime trip for me, we chose to splurge on a Finding Nemo suite (their were only 2 of us! LOL) Since we were their for 2 full weeks and we are both used to living alone, it was actually very nice to each have our own space and the two bathrooms made getting ready a breeze in the mornings. The themeing was great, we loved all the huge statues of characters. Our room was in a great location, about mid way between the lobby and skyliner with a great view of the pool area. All the cast we encountered were super friendly and helpful. On the down side, it didn't seem like they cleaned the floors in our room at all (it felt gritty in bare feet and you could even see the dust building up in some of the corners). Twice we had to call down to housekeeping as they didn't leave us any fresh face clothes. It can also be noisy! Aside from the usual daily noise of the pool activities, you can easily hear people in the halls and sometimes even in the rooms next to you and they also do work (looked like they were cleaning the paths?) early in the morning. Overall it was a nice hotel but not sure I would spend that much if I were to go again.

Pros:

great themeing, skyliner

Cons:

not to sure about the cleanliness of rooms, beds aren't very comfortable, noisy

We love the Skyliner access for a great price. We stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms, and while they are a little dated, we enjoyed our stay. The dining is fine, not amazing, but you shouldn't expect high end dining at a value resort. The Skyliner does give you easy access to dining at Rivera, Caribbean Beach, and Boardwalk area resorts.

Pros:

great theming, great value, Skyliner access

Cons:

It can feel a little crowded, limited dining options on-site

Amazing! Perfect for every family! My whole family adores this resort. Easy to get around everywhere and a smaller sized resort.

Pros:

All the family suites are amazing

Cons:

Don’t stay in little mermaid section and this resort should be considered moderate at the price

I stayed here in a little mermaid room january 2022. The room was clean and well themed. Not very spacious but I knew that going into it. Quiet pool area in the little mermaid section. Great theming throughout the resort. Perfect for families who are looking for larger suites in a very disney forward themed resort. Main pool busy but that is to be expected. I wish there was one sit down restaurant it would be great to have a disney themed sit down restuarant such as a cozy cone cafe or something along those lines.

Pros:

Great disney theming. On the skyliner route. suites to accommodate big families. Only busy at the main pool.

Cons:

Spread out. No sit down restaurant. not ideal for singles or couples.

A great value, awesome for families

Pros:

The suites are affordable and provide a great spot for a lager group or anyone who needs more space and privacy (plus 3 beds 2 baths) , skyliner is so convenient and awesome , the pool is amazing , food is quick and easy and the gift shop has everything you’d need including last minute gifts (and meds, toiletries , etc) it’s not TOO spread out and walkable pretty easily , and not too loud

Cons:

It is far from the parks so when you can’t take skyliner it takes a bit , LOTS of kids and people if you don’t like crowds, could definitely use some more options for food : the cafeteria is OK , nothing bad but nothing great but since you’re paying for the food I don’t know why they can’t have some more high quality options or a coffee place or something . Overall I stay here 80% of the time even when traveling without kids because the suite is so great for adults too !

We stayed in a Nemo family suite for one night on April 19th. We had originally booked a family suite at the All-Star Music resort but once we arrived at the Orlando airport we received a phone call to let us know that we were moved to Art of Animation. We arrived at the resort around 10PM and were helped right away by bell service. We did the check in while on the bus from the airport and went right to our room. The room was big but filled up quickly with 4 adults and 2 teenagers (girls). My wife and I slept on the pull out couch which was not comfortable. The teenagers slept on the pull down table and they didn't have a tone of room to move. The grandparents slept in the dedicated bedroom and hey said it was very big and the bed was comfortable. We are DVC members and have never stayed at a value resort so the theming was very different and fun for one night. We enjoyed walking around the resort the next morning and taking pictures of the outdoor décor. It was nice to still have two bathrooms and the little kitchenet to store some items. We didn't really unpack since we were moving to the Beach Club Villas the next day but we did notice their weren't a lot of places to unpack if you were staying for a longer time except for the main bedroom. It was nice to jump on the Skyliner to transfer over to the Beach Club the next day instead of jumping around on buses. Overall the resort was nice and clean but the room would have felt small if we stayed the week.

Pros:

Clean, good sized rooms. Two bathrooms in the family suite is great. Being on a Skyliner resort is always a plus. The all around Disney in your face theming is fun. The main bedroom in the suite is great.

Cons:

The pull out couch and pull down table bed in the family suite are small and not very comfortable. Lack of storage to unpack or just have space for luggage is a minus.

It has very unique theming and being an animator in training, I really appreciated getting to see all the concept art in the lobby. I love the "in your face" statues outside all of the buildings. The only downside is that the Little Mermaid rooms are the only non-family suite rooms for this resort and they're about a 10+ minute walk in either direction (whether to the buses or the skyliner). The room had plenty of space under the bed for my luggage and although we didn't get a pool side view, we still got an amazing view of the skyliner and hourglass lake every morning. Love having the skyliner available and it made going to Epcot and Hollywood Studios super easy. Will most likely stay here (or next door at Pop Century for a cheaper room) for every WDW trip. I love it, despite the long walk to/from my room.

Pros:

Skyliner, great theming

Cons:

The long walk to any form of transportation (if you didn't bring your own car)

My family booked a Finding Nemo suit through Costco for the 5 of us. We are all adults but my family is very close so we made it work. My parents took the bedroom, my sister took the pullout bed, and my boyfriend and I took the murphy bed. I was expecting it to be tighter but it had a surprising amount of room. The room was clean, and the beds were not amazing but ok. The cleaning crew had kind of a weird pattern to empty the trash so we ended up having to ask them to take the trash out about four days after check-in. The skyline was hands down the way to travel. We lined up about 45 minutes before it opened for rope drop and there was no almost no line at the transfer station. I pressured everyone into getting the basic colored magic bands and we all agreed it was so worth it. It was so much easier than the phone ( my father used it the first day to get into the hotel and struggled with it) and having to keep track of a card was just not worth it. We linked a card to the room to charge things too and we got a bunch of gift cards from Target using my parents Target Red Card to save some money. The Big blue pool (Finding Nemo pool) was clean and the movies they put on every night were fun. We did laundry a few times, we had a few grumpy people that got pissed off when we moved their laundry from the dryer after it had been done for half an hour and no one had come so just watch the timing and set an alarm. Also, the washers are prone to eating socks. We managed to lose a pair and had to return a few lost ones that ended up in with ours so I would bring a delicates bag and use that for your socks. We got one of the refillable cups for our hotel, my mom likes to collect them. I would not suggest filling it up right before you are going to the park as you have to carry it all day.

Pros:

Skyliner was the best! The family room was perfect for the group we had. The refrigerator and microwave were so useful.

Cons:

Basic hotel with Disney characters nothing fancy going for it.
