Universal Orlando Announces ANOTHER Lengthy Attraction Closure

Universal Orlando is undergoing numerous construction projects across all three of their parks, but some of the biggest changes are coming to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios (Epic Universe remains mostly untouched when it comes to the availability of current attractions).

It was recently announced that the entirety of the Lost Continent section of the park will soon be demolished and turned into something new, and multiple attractions are currently closed and undergoing refurbishment. However, now ANOTHER attraction has been added to the list, and it’s a lengthy one, so it’ll very likely affect your vacation.

Universal has added Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp, located in DreamWorks Land in Universal Studios, to the Universal Orlando closures list, along with Po Live!, which is the show that happens inside the theatre. They’ll both be closed from May 18th all the way through July 3rd, which is a significant portion of the summer.

DreamWorks Land is an area geared towards kids, and Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp is a great playground and water attraction to help kids get some of their energy out in a safe way. With this area closed, it’ll take away a pretty large offering for kids, but fortunately, the remainder of DreamWorks land will remain open. Also available in this area is the Trolls Trollercoaster, Poppy’s Playground, DreamWorks Imagination Celebration, Shrek’s Swamp Meet, and lots more.

• Jurassic Park River Adventure (through November 19th)
• Pteranodon Flyers (through May 21st)
• Me Ship, The Olive (from May 26th through June 9th)

Universal Studios

• Finnegan’s Bar and Grill (through Winter 2026)
• Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show (through Winter 2026)
• MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack (from June 1st through June 16th)
