Listen, small spaces just aren’t my thing. I hate the feeling of being trapped and feeling like I can’t get out of something, and because of that, there are some Disney World rides that I’ll pass on.

If you’re heading to Disney World and you feel the same way as I do, I’m sharing some Disney World rides that you should skip. Of course, everyone feels differently about different rides, but here are some from my experience that I’m likely going to skip every time. While I appreciate Disney World’s dedication to themed experiences, sometimes they’re just a little too much!
Mission: SPACE

Nope. Not happening. I went on this ride once and said never again, and haven’t even been in the building since. While the queue is fine, the ride is meant to simulate a rocket launching into space, which isn’t the most spacious environment. It can feel like the walls are literally closing in on you with how you load into the ride, and with the over-the-head harness and being in a small container with three other people, this is a skip for me.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

I’m sorry! Disney did a fantastic job on theming this, where it feels like you’re really a rat climbing through the sewers of Paris. Unfortunately, I do not want to feel like a rat scampering through the tunnels and being in a maze. For this ride, the queue is really the worst, with lots of turns, a short ceiling, and dark lighting. I usually don’t have any issues on the ride, but if the line is long, which would mean I have to stay in the queue for a while, I’ll probably skip or wait till I buy a Lightning Lane.
Pirates of the Caribbean

Very similar to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, if you’ve ever wanted to feel like a pirate in an old jail cell with very little lighting and being in a literal cave, then you’re going to love the queue. If you prefer to stay on land, you’ll likely not enjoy the queue. While the queue is fairly wide, the dark lighting and tall walls can make it feel endless.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets

This version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is not coming until summer 2026, but it will be the same ride mechanism as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, so I’m expecting the same feeling. The over-the-head harness is tight and bulky, and because there’s a loop, I’d be shocked if this gets changed.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

For this experience, you and five other guests will sit in a small pod and fly the ship together. While I don’t think this is the worst space to exist and there is plenty of room between the seats and rows, you’re still in a small canister, stimulating going into space, which might be a lot for some people.
Rise of the Resistance

There is just something about the queues in Galaxy’s Edge that are too themed, in my opinion. This queue is once again a dark cave with lots of twists and turns and high walls. Disney likes to have lots of turns in the queue, so you can’t see how much further along it is till the front (aka you don’t really know how long you have to wait), and because of that, you can feel a bit trapped and like you don’t know where you are. There are also multiple preshow rooms that they usher you into.
Again, these aren’t necessarily hard-set rules, and you might feel different than me on a lot of attractions — these are just some rides you might want to keep your eye on before committing to a long line. I’m not saying to skip all of these, but you might want to bring your headphones, a fully charged phone, and anything else that helps you relax in small spaces.
