You know what we haven’t talked about in a while?! The new Universal Kids Resort that is coming to Texas!

A while back, Universal Studios announced that it was bringing a new kids resort to Texas. With Epic Universe opening in Orlando, there weren’t many updates surrounding the Texas project after that announcement. However, we eventually started to see construction take place, and now Universal has finally started sharing some of the attractions we can look forward to!
The new resort coming to Texas is going to be filled with characters that we all know and love. The new park will feature seven themed areas inspired by Shrek, Minions, SpongeBob SquarePants, Jurassic World, Trolls, Puss in Boots, and Gabby’s Dollhouse. It’s going to be filled with activities and attractions of all sorts — specifically for kids. We haven’t had tons of updates on what the lands will have, until now.

Universal Kids Resort took to Instagram to share some info on what awaits at two of the seven themed lands — Jurassic World Adventure Camp and SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom.

Let’s start with Jurassic World Adventure Camp! The entire experience at this land is set to be focused on discovery and learning. The land will feature an attraction inspired by the character DNA that takes you to new heights. It will also have a kids coaster called the “Cretaceous Coaster” and a kids free-fall ride.

There’s also going to be a playground at Jurassic World Adventure Camp for kids to explore and have fun. At this playground, there will be baby velocoraptors for kiddos to interact with — they’re a lot less scary than adult ones! The new land will be a fun way for little ones to experience Jurassic World.

Next, let’s take a look at SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom. We already know the kiddos will have a blast (or a splash) at Pineapple Paradise. It’s a splash pad that features the iconic house from the show.

You’ll also get the chance to board your very own jelly angler on this family-friendly spinning attraction. Get ready to swim through jellyfish fields on Jellyfish Fields Jamboree!

The land has so much more to offer! There will be an attraction called Bobbing Barrels, where you’ll spin around and shoot water at each other. Or, how about an opportunity to ride on the Barnacle Bus?! You’ll also get the chance to go to Mrs. Puff’s boating school. Oh, and of course, you’ll get to meet with SpongeBob!

After a long day splashing around at Bikini Bottom, you may as well treat yourself to a sundae at Goofy Goobers! Wait…THE Goofy Goobers? Somebody pinch us.

Universal has never done anything like this resort before, and we can’t wait to check it out once it opens later THIS YEAR! We’re assuming they’ll drop information on all the lands at some point, so for now we’ll patiently wait. You’re not going to want to miss any of the updates, so make sure to follow us at AllEars.
