Disney, We TOLD You This Hollywood Studios Ride Needed Serious Help

Ride closures are part of everyday life in Disney World, as frustrating as they can be, and it’s important to plan ahead of them.

Toy Story Mania

Not only do we watch wait times every day in Disney World to help you know what rides may be struggling the most, but we also take a look at all the data at the end of the month to see which rides gave us the most trouble throughout the month. For February? Well, Disney, we’re not saying that we warned you, but this ONE Disney’s Hollywood Studios ride has been struggling for a LONG time, and we think it’ll only continue to do so if something isn’t done!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Surprisingly, Expedition Everest closed 17 times in 12 days, which was more than we anticipated. We’re hoping this ride evens out, because this park really can’t afford ANOTHER ride becoming unavailable.

Expedition Everest

Meanwhile, Kali River Rapids closed 8 times in 8 days, which isn’t too bad, but we are a little surprised that Zootopia: Better Zoogether! closed 7 times in 7 days. Now shows like this can totally go down, but it doesn’t happen super often. This new show does have a pretty neat animatronic, though, so if he’s having issues, the show will most likely shut down.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

While Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance closed 35 times in 21 days, and that’s certainly not nothing, but what really shocked us was that Toy Story Mania! closed 32 times in 14 days, which is over TWICE per day. This ride has been having issues very frequently, and while sometimes it doesn’t go down completely, we’ve seen the wait time soar before dropping back down an hour or two later, indicating that perhaps only half of the ride went down.

Toy Story Mania

Slinky Dog Dash closed 28 times in 18 days, which also isn’t great, but as this is an outdoor ride, some of those closures could have been due to inclement weather.

EPCOT

The Seas with Nemo & Friends closed 35 times in 20 days, which is NOT what we expected for this attraction. Yes, it’s been open for quite some time, but there’s nothing super intense about it. We’re really hoping it doesn’t have to undergo a refurbishment, but if that’s what it’ll take to fix it, this park is one of the only ones that may be able to handle it without too much of an issue, as this park has the least amount of construction when compared to the others.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure closed 30 times in 21 days, which isn’t ideal, but not totally shocking considering this is a trackless ride, and while Journey Into Imagination With Figment closing 20 times in 12 days is more than we expected (but considering this ride isn’t a crowd favorite…we’re okay with it).

Magic Kingdom

Haunted Mansion closed 32 times in 20 days, which is one of the first times in a WHILE we’ve seen this attraction so high on the list. We know our ghost friends sometimes like to cause some mischief, but we don’t want the ride to shut down because of it!

Haunted Mansion

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure closed 28 times in 19 days, which isn’t totally shocking considering how chilly it’s been (and this ride does NOT do well in the cold). Meanwhile, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin closed 24 times in 18 days, and that’s definitely more than it should be for a ride that’s not super popular. Disney, this ride may need some TLC again!
