Something BIG will be changing in Disney World soon.

If you’re headed to Disney World this summer and have a stay booked at a Disney World hotel, you qualify to get one free water park ticket for everyone in your group on your check-in day. Well, if you’re visiting next month on or after May 12th, you’ll have a choice between two water parks to choose from because both will be open this summer.
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
Disney World has two water parks, but throughout most of the year, only one is open at any given time. When Blizzard Beach reopened on February 15th, Typhoon Lagoon closed. Recently, we learned that Typhoon Lagoon would reopen on May 15th, with Blizzard Beach also being open, so you’ll be able to visit both water parks throughout the summer.

If you’re wondering about which one you should pick, we’ll give you a rundown of each. Blizzard Beach is the result of a freak snowstorm in Florida that created a ski resort. Eventually, though, the ski resort melted, which turned snowy mountains into water slides. The water park features over 17 slides, a wave pool, an area for pre-teens, and an area for smaller children.

Typhoon Lagoon is the result of a tropical storm causing havoc, which is why the park features shipwrecks, including the Miss Tilly, which sits atop one of the mountains. It features multiple water slides, raft rides, a water coaster, a lazy river, and a wave pool.

Both parks also feature plenty of places to grab food and drinks, so you don’t have to go hungry and thirsty while you’re having your water park fun.
We’ll let you know about other reopenings in Disney World, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
