Disney Reveals DATE for Typhoon Lagoon Reopening at Disney World

Disney has announced the reopening date for Typhoon Lagoon, meaning that BOTH water parks will be open in the summer, giving guests lots of opportunity for a summer splash. Blizzard Beach reopened on February 15th, and Typhoon Lagoon closed on the same day, February 15th.

Initially, when the closing date was set, there was no reopening date announced. However, Disney has since announced that Typhoon Lagoon will officially reopen on May 12th. This now gives guests two water park options for the hot Florida summer!

 Both water parks will remain open all summer long, so you’ve got time to fit them into your plans. Disney World is running a promotion where Disney resort guests will receive a free water park ticket for their arrival day, which starts with Cool Kids’ Summer on May 26th. This is something you might want to take advantage of, especially since it’ll start shortly after both water parks are open.
