$15 a Day Can Save You From This “Horrendous” Disney World Problem

If you’ve ever traveled to Disney World with small children, you’re not alone in this particular struggle.

Strollers in Disney World

Visiting Disney World with stroller-dependent children comes with a unique set of challenges. From where to park the strollers to how to transport them to how to maneuver through crowds — stroller management at Disney World can be a pain. Fortunately, one of our readers has come to the rescue with some handy advice!

We recently asked our readers on Facebook about Disney World tips they have for first-timers, and one reader in particular brought up a good point about strollers.

Reader Narda wrote, “Rent the stroller! Loading a stroller on the bus is horrendous. The back pain after pushing a smaller stroller from home is not worth it.”

Stroller Rentals

Narda is so right! If you’re someone that is worried about body aches, real back pain, and general fatigue after a long day of hauling around a baby and stroller at Disney World, renting can surely help!

Folding up a stroller and carrying it onto the free transportation — like the buses — is yet another form of physical activity that can really add to soreness and discomfort. When trying to preserve yourself for the sometimes-grueling demands of a Disney World vacation, it’s the little things, like not worrying about transporting a stroller, that can make a world of difference.

Strollers must be folded before boarding a Disney bus

Strollers are available to rent throughout the Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs. Rates are as follows:

  • Single Stroller: $15 daily or $13 for multi-day (length of stay)
  • Double Stroller: $31 daily or $27 for multi-day (length of stay)

A $100 USD credit card deposit is required for strollers rented at Disney Springs.

You can pre-pay for the number of days that you will require a stroller and save overall.  All you have to do is purchase a Length of Stay rental ticket for less per day when renting for multiple days. Upon visiting one of the parks, all you need to do is show your receipt at the rental location and receive your stroller for the day!

Strollers should be returned to a rental location before leaving the park.

Of course, this does mean that you will not have a stroller available at your resort, so if the walk to your room is long, keep this in mind!

  1. Best thing you can do is wait until your child does not need a stroller. That is what my wife and I did and it worked out great.
