Disney World’s made some BIG changes lately and this is one you’ll need to know about before you hit the parks!

Price increases have hit almost every corner of Disney World from souvenirs and experiences, to food, tickets, and beyond. If you’re traveling to Disney for your next vacation soon, there’s ANOTHER price increase you need to consider before you decide how you want to get around Disney World’s parks and hotels prior to arriving for your vacation.
Unless you’re staying at a Disney World hotel or are an Annual Passholder and driving to visit Disney World’s parks, you’ll be asked to pay for parking before you enter. Honestly, as a current Annual Passholder myself, it’s one of those fees that you tend to forget unless it’s included with your stay or visit. But, it’s a must if you plan on driving to the parks!

It’s a fee that I see lots of people pay each day when I go to visit Disney World, and it’s an important thing to budget for BEFORE you’re surprised at the toll booths to enter to park. Disney World’s parking fees have increased overnight for the parks, and it might stretch your budget a bit thinner if you weren’t anticipating it!

Previously, regular self-parking would cost you $30 per vehicle per day. This has now increased to $35 per vehicle per day. Oversized vehicle parking fees have risen from $35 to $40.

Additionally, if you’re looking to upgrade your parking closer to the park’s entrance with preferred parking, that price has increased, too. Preferred parking for cars and motorcycles went from $45, $50, or $55 per day (varies seasonally) to $50, $55, and $60 per day. Overall, a $5 increase might not sound like much at first glance, but it can add up to a significant increase if you’re planning to visit the parks over multiple days.

The good thing is that HOW the parking fees work hasn’t changed. Once you’ve paid for parking at Disney World’s parks for the day, you’re able to come and go from the parking lot as often as you need. You also won’t be charged again at another park if you plan on park hopping during your day’s visit, so long as you show your receipt for parking paid earlier in the day at a previous park.

While this was an abrupt change, it’s typical of Disney World to make changes to its pricing during this season, as we’ve seen in years past. As you’re planning out your visits, it’s important to keep in mind that what you’re budgeting for now for your trip could vary as Disney World’s prices and offerings are always subject to change.
