There are many perks to staying at a Walt Disney World hotel, but Early Entry is definitely one of the biggest.

The perk allows those staying on Disney property and select other hotels can enter each of Disney World’s theme parks 30 minutes early every day of their stay (including check-in and check-out days. However, they may be slightly disappointed when entering the Magic Kingdom.
While many of the park’s most popular rides are available during Early Entry, TRON Lightcycle / Run — arguably the park’s most popular attraction isn’t among them.

Now, it’s been a while since TRON debuted, and we’re all still asking, “When will this ride finally be part of early entry?” I mean, it’s one of the hottest attractions in the park, yet Disney has continued to keep it off the early-entry list. If you’re staying on property and want to get on this ride, it’s such a bummer.
Why is TRON Not Part of Early Entry?
You would think that with TRON being such a massive draw, Disney would want to let resort guests take advantage of their early entry perk on this ride. However, it’s not happening.

Here’s our best theory about the situation: keeping TRON out of early entry allows Disney to better control crowd flow in the mornings, which helps to ensure that rope drop for regular guests doesn’t get too chaotic. It also nudges you toward purchasing those Lightning Lane passes, especially if you’ve got your heart set on riding TRON with minimal wait.

But we’re still thinking that isn’t the whole point of staying at a Disney Resort to get a little bit of magic, like skipping the worst of the lines? I mean, for the price tag, it feels like Disney should be rolling out more perks, not less.
Will TRON Ever Join the Early Entry List?
Honestly, who knows? Disney hasn’t said a word about adding TRON to the early entry roster, and they seem content with keeping it out of reach for now. However, we should note here that you can begin lining up early for TRON Lightcycle/Run, BUT the ride won’t actually open until the park opens to the general public.

While TRON isn’t available during Early Entry, the following Magic Kingdom attractions are:
- “it’s a small world”
- Astro Orbiter
- Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
- Dumbo the Flying Elephant
- Mad Tea Party
- Mickey’s PhilharMagic
- Peter Pan’s Flight
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
- Space Mountain
- The Barnstormer
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
