As Universal Orlando prepares for the busy summer season, their refurbishment calendar continues to add short-term projects to ensure the resort’s rides are ready for the crowds.

Most recently, two of the resort’s older warhorse attractions — Men In Black: Alien Attack at Universal Studios Florida and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish at Islands of Adventure were both announced for quick closures in the coming weeks.
The dark ride shooter MIB attraction, which first opened at the Studios park back in 2000, will be closed for refurbishment from June 1st through the 16th.

Next door at Islands of Adventure, the One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish attraction — a spinner which has been a staple at Suess Landing since the park opened in 1999 — will be closed for a very brief refurbishment in late March. The attraction will close on March 24th and reopen on March 25th. Like we said, “brief.”

During its day of downtime, the ride will join the Jurassic Park River Adventure (Closed since January 5th, with a targeted reopening of November 19th) and Pteranodon Flyers (Closed since February 27th, scheduled to reopen on May 14th) on the list of Islands of Adventure rides under refurbishment.

Universal’s newest park, Epic Universe, is not immune to the closure bug. The park’s troubled Stardust Racers has been closed since February 19th. The ride has had several reopening dates scheduled, only for each to be pushed back. Currently, it’s scheduled to reopen on April 5th.

Both Men in Black: Alien Attack and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish have been added to Universal’s refurbishment calendar, with short-term closures scheduled in the upcoming months. Stay tuned to AllEars for further updates on Universal’s operational calendar.
