Disney World just quietly announced another refurbishment! This hotel renovation will last almost an entire year.
Beginning in late May 2026, the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will undergo planned refurbishment through the end of January 2027.
During this time, guests may see or hear construction in the area, and alternate travel routes may be in place. All resort amenities will remain open during the refurbishment. The Fantasia Pool, Duck Pond Pool, and kiddie pool will be unaffected.
Disney hasn’t confirmed which room buildings will be updated or how the work will be phased across the resort. Based on previous refurbs, Disney will close and refurbish buildings in stages.
If you’re staying at All-Star Movies between May 2026 and January 2027, there might be some daytime construction noise. You can request a room away from active work areas during check-in, but it is not guaranteed. If your travel plans are flexible, you could book to avoid the construction entirely if it’s a dealbreaker for your trip.
All-Star Movies was last updated in the late 2010s and early 2020s. Renovations included updated flooring, a Murphy-style fold-down second bed, improved storage, better charging options, and a refreshed bathroom layout. This upcoming refurbishment could be a soft refurb with new flooring or furniture, or a more comprehensive reimagining.
