NEWS: Disney Reopens Frozen Ever After EARLY at EPCOT

Well, EPCOT is full of surprises today. Not only did we notice two topiaries already up for the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival that doesn’t even start until next month, but we also noticed something else BIG happening.

Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After was supposed to reopen with its new changes tomorrow, but guess what? The ride has reopened early, as in today.

Frozen Ever After closed in January so that Disney Imagineers could update the animatronics on the ride. The plan was to get rid of the projected faces on the current animatronics of humans and replace them with new animatronic figures, similar to what we saw when we rode the Frozen ride in Hong Kong.

Well, Frozen Ever After was set to reopen on February 12th, tomorrow, but we discovered that Disney just decided to surprise everyone and reopen the ride a day early. So we made our way to the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT to check it out! And sure enough, the ride was open! Interestingly enough, the My Disney Experience app has the ride still closed, but it does has forecasted wait times listed for the rest of the day.

The first scene with the new animatronics is the one with Anna and Kristoff singing “For The First Time in Forever.”

The next scene with a new animatronic is the scene in Elsa’s Ice Castle as Elsa sings “Let It Go.”

The finale scene also has new animatronics for Anna and Elsa.

Here are some videos of the new animatronics in action.

We’re excited about this big change to the ride, and it certainly looks a lot different (and many fans of this ride are going to love the updates). We hope you get a chance to see for yourself soon.

In the meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
