2 Life-Changing Announcements for EPCOT in 2025

2025 is gearing up to be a massive year at Disney World.

All four parks are about to see changes, including EPCOT. Although the EPCOT Transformation was officially marked complete last summer when CommuniCore Hall and Plaza opened, EPCOT was only “wall-less” for about a week as construction soon started again on a new project. Well, we have some good news: two new life-changing projects are set to open in the park in 2025!

EPCOT has had many new additions in recent years, including Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Connections Eatery, Journey of Water, and SO much more. The additions are not over, and EPCOT will soon be home to a new attraction and a new lounge.

Test Track 3.0

In June of 2024, Test Track 2.0 closed to make way for a third version of this iconic EPCOT attraction. While we know it may seem like a stretch to call Test Track 3.0 a new attraction, the third version of the ride will draw inspiration from Test Track’s predecessor, World of Motion.

And if we are being honest, while Test Track and Test Track 2.0 share the same ride layout, the rides felt completely different, and from the concept art of Test Track 3.0, it seems as if this will feel like a whole new attraction, which makes us super excited! The ride is set to open in late summer 2025, and it will be here before we know it.

Spaceship Earth Lounge

While we never got the Spaceship Earth overhaul with the EPCOT Transformation, we are getting a brand new lounge themed around the beloved park icon, and it is set to open in 2025.

This lounge will be inspired by the “stories, shapes, and enduring legacy” of Spaceship Earth. It will be filled with rich textures and warm metallic tones for a “mysterious and elegant intimacy.” It will be located in World Celebration in the Spaceship Earth event space and will be a lounge for families to enjoy a variety of refreshments.
