5 Things Millennial Disney Adults ALWAYS Do at Disney World

Hear me out. I think Disney World is the ultimate nostalgic playground for millennial Disney adults.

EPCOT

Whether it’s our obsession with reliving the magic of the ’90s or splurging on snacks that cost more than our first flip phone, there’s a certain “je ne sais quoi” about how we roam the parks. If you’ve ever spotted someone in Mickey ears passionately debating EPCOT attractions of yore, chances are that you’ve probably encountered one of us millennial Disney adults. So, let’s talk about a couple of things we’re ALWAYS doing when we’re in the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Complain About How Journey Into Imagination Was Better With Dreamfinder

Let’s be real: we’re never letting this one go. Journey Into Imagination with Dreamfinder was peak Disney World content, and every millennial who experienced it as a kid still talks about it like it was a defining life moment.

Figment and Dreamfinder

Sure, Figment’s still around (and we love the little purple guy), but we have a tendency to never stop reminding anyone within earshot that the original ride was superior. (And bonus points if we somehow steer the conversation toward the EPCOT of the ’90s: Innoventions, Horizons, etc.)

Walk Around EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, Pointing Out Everything That’s Gone

Speaking of nostalgia, us millennial Disney adults can’t seem to take a casual stroll through EPCOT or Hollywood Studios without wistfully pointing out everything we miss. You’ll probably catch us saying things like, “Remember the Backlot Tour? Man, the golden age of MGM Studios was so good.” “Do you think they’ll ever bring back Body Wars?”

And don’t even get us started on the loss of the Sorcerer’s Hat. It’s gotta feel like you’re experiencing a  Disney history lesson except it’s really just us mourning the attractions we loved as kids. You know, if there’s a soapbox nearby, we’re probably on it (I wouldn’t put it past us).

Buy All the Novelty Snacks

If there’s one thing us Millennials have a weakness for, it’s those Instagram-worthy snacks, and Disney World knows it. We’ll happily drop $15 on a Mickey-shaped cookie because it’s cute and nostalgic. And seasonal cupcakes? Well, at this point we’re basically poster children for the “Take my money” meme.

Too cute!

We’ve perfected the art of balancing a fancy snack in one hand and our phones in the other for the perfect photo. And yes, we’ll probably complain about the price while also proudly declaring it “worth it” because, hey, it’s Disney.

Day Drink – Especially Craft Beer

If there’s one thing that screams millennial Disney adult, it’s day drinking in the parks. EPCOT’s World Showcase is practically our natural habitat. It’s where we sip craft beers from Germany, margaritas from Mexico, and whatever fun seasonal concoction we stumble upon in between.

Beer Flight

Hollywood Studios’ Baseline Tap House? Yeah, you’ll find us there, dissecting whether the IPA we just ordered is hoppy enough while planning our next move to Galaxy’s Edge. Sure, we love a good thrill ride, but a solid drink menu is equally exciting.

Recreate Childhood Photos

Nothing fuels our millennial nostalgia quite like recreating our childhood Disney photos. Whether it’s digging up an old picture in front of Cinderella Castle or tracking down that random arch in the Morocco Pavilion for the perfect pose, we love to relive those magical memories this time as grown-ups.

Some of us even get our parents or siblings involved, turning it into a full-on family project. Of course, not every recreation goes smoothly, but that just adds to the fun.

See, Disney World isn’t just a vacation spot for us; it’s basically a time machine for us to bask in the warm glow of our childhood memories. Sure, we might be overly attached to the past, but that’s part of the charm of being a millennial Disney adult. So next time you spot someone waxing poetic about Horizons while sipping a craft beer in EPCOT, give them a little nod. They’re just living their best nostalgic life.
