NEWS: After Hours Events are Returning to Disney World in 2025

Have you ever wanted to experience the Disney World parks at night with smaller crowds and free snacks?

Magic Kingdom After Hours

Well, we have some good news. Disney just announced that After Hours events will return to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT in 2025, and we have all the dates.

Disney World’s After Hours events are specialty-ticketed events, meaning that they are an additional ticket you must purchase and are not included with normal admission. Tickets to this event can grant you park access as early as 7 PM and allow you to stay in the park three hours past closing time. Ticket sales are limited, which means that there are fewer people in the parks, often leading to much shorter wait times for popular attractions. The best part? There are even free snacks included with admission. Snacks include popcorn, ice cream, and select drinks.

After Hours will return to three of the Disney World Theme Parks in 2025: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios.

Magic Kingdom After Hours will take place from 10 PM to 1 AM, and the dates are as follows:

    • January 6, 13, 20, and 27

    • March 3, 17, 24, and 31

  1. If I recall, some major rides are not operational during this time because it takes maintenance all night to get the ride ready for the next day, like Rise of the Resistance.

  2. I’m “Remember when extra hours in the park were free, if you were staying at a Disney Resort”, old… Doing the math, some of these tickets come out to approximately $60 an hour, for 3 hours. Also remember the days when you bought a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, they only sold a limited amount of tickets. This allowed us to get on all the rides with a short wait time. Last time we went, there were so many people at the party, you could barely move around, and wait times were just as much, if not longer, than the wait times during the day. Ended up going back to the hotel. What a waste of money that was. My family and I are Disney lovers, but they are outpricing the average family to ever be able to afford a Disney vacation. Sadly, don’t see any Disney plans in our future.

    1. Those “Extra Magic Hours” as they were called were only in select parks on certain days for all resort guests (even value resorts). They were often very crowded, and not really the deal they were promoted to be.
