At Disney World, there’s this one place you really never think about until the last possible moment.
No, we’re not talking about where you’re going to eat. Nor are we bringing up which ride you’re going to go on next. Nope. We’re talking about that one place that no one really wants to deal with but everyone has to — bathrooms. Now we adore Disney World with every fiber of our beings, but some of the bathrooms there…well, let’s say they aren’t exactly the best. Since there are SO many bathrooms all over the Disney World property, let’s narrow our scope to just Magic Kingdom. Here’s a quick rundown of the worst offenders (in our opinion) and, more importantly, where you should be heading instead.
Let’s start with the bathrooms we try to avoid at all costs.
Plaza Restaurant Restrooms by Tomorrowland Terrace
You’ll find these restrooms right by Tomorrowland Terrace, which makes them quite convenient. Now, that can be a problem because they’re often packed, and sometimes the lines can stretch out the door.
Which makes trying to navigate with kids or a stroller a real hassle. This one could use a good update.

Bathrooms by Space Mountain
You’ve just survived the trip to space and back on Space Mountain, and then nature calls. Well, hold up! If you’re expecting high-tech and fancy restrooms befitting the area, you’re going to be let down quite badly.
Maybe it’s the location, but they tend to be crowded and lack a bit of cleanliness, which doesn’t give them the most inviting vibe. Let’s just say that if you can hold it, you’re better off using a different restroom.

Bathrooms by Casey’s Corner
Ah, we love Casey’s Corner. It’s home to some delicious hot dogs, but the bathroom sitch? Let’s just say they could use some work.
For one, they’re frustratingly small when it comes to the size of the bathrooms and they’re often not well air-conditioned, which is definitely a dealbreaker with the typical Florida heat. Also, the lines can get long because, let’s face it, lots of people flock here for their snacks.

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant Restrooms
When you think of using the restroom at a typical sit-down restaurant it would have spacious, comfortable restrooms, right? At Tony’s? Nope.
Tony’s is notorious for having a small bathroom that’s perpetually packed. Also, the last time we needed to visit, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, which made the whole experience even more unpleasant.

Now that we’ve covered the ones to avoid, let’s talk about the gems where you can actually relax and refresh without the hassle.
Tom Sawyer Island Restrooms
If you’re looking for probably the most peaceful pit stop, head over to Tom Sawyer Island. These bathrooms are usually less crowded, probably because not everyone makes the trek over there.
The island itself is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle, and the restrooms reflect that peaceful vibe. To be fair, it’s a bit of an adventure to get there, but totally worth it for the tranquility and peace of mind.
Note: Tom Sawyer Island will permanently close to make way for the new Cars-themed area. Construction is set to begin in 2025, so take advantage of these while you can!
Restrooms by City Hall
These bathrooms are located near the park entrance and are a solid choice. They might not be as “charming” as the ones on Tom Sawyer Island, but they’re larger, well-maintained, and generally not as crowded as some of the other options.
Plus, they’re very conveniently located if you’re just arriving or about to leave the park, so this one gets top marks in our book.
There you have it. Those were a couple of our least favorite bathrooms to use at Disney World, and which ones we go to instead. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
