Themes Revealed For the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend!

Is it just us, or are there a lot of Disney anniversaries being celebrated right now?

Cinderella Castle

You’ve got Disney World’s 50th anniversary, Disneyland Paris’ 30th anniversary, Pandora – The World of Avatar’s 5th anniversary,  and soon, we’ll also be celebrating runDisney’s 15th anniversary! And who better to join the celebration than the Disney Princesses?!

The 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by CORKCICLE will return to Disney World February 23-26, 2023! The race weekend will celebrate the 15th anniversary of runDisney and the Disney Princesses, as well as the communities who help them! Each race event will be inspired by the spirit of family — born into and chosen!

Race Themes

The Disney Princess 5K (3.1 miles) will be themed after Princess Jasmine and her friends, Raja, Abu, the Magic Carpet, and Aladdin!

The Disney Princess 10K (6.2 miles) is themed after Belle! She’ll be accompanied by her pals, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts!

The Disney Princess Half Marathon is inspired by one of the bravest princesses we know — Moana! She’s joined by Pua, Hei Hei, Maui, and the ancestral spirit of her Grandma!

The Disney Fairy Tale Challenge is for those who want to conquer both the 10K and Half Marathon races! That’s a total of 19.3 miles! This race is themed after Cinderella, who is accompanied by Gus Gus, Jacque, Suzy, and Perla (her Fairy Godmother)!

Virtual Race

Virtual races will return to this event! If you can’t come to Disney World to join the event in-person, you can still participate virtually in every single race!
