It’s officially Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and that means the parks are going ALL out for the event. We’re talking decorations, food, entertainment, and beyond! And, even the runDisney events are getting in on the celebrations in 2022!
The runDisney Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is set to take place from February 24th through February 27th, 2022 and registration has already opened (and mostly sold out) for all of the race distances. And, while we’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the themes for the events, now we’ve got a look at the medals you’ll receive at the finish line!
The 2022 race medals feature more than just some fan-favorite Disney princesses this year — they’re also decked out in Disney World’s 50th anniversary EARidescent color!
Guests who participate in the Disney Princess 5K will make their way around the Walt Disney World Resort for 3.1 miles, and, you can celebrate your accomplishment with the Cinderella-themed medal at the end of the course.
Tiana taught us that you have to chase after your dreams to make them a reality. So, it’s only fitting that Tiana is featured on the Disney Enchanted 10K medal after finishing an impressive 6.2 miles.
We’re sure you’ve been training hard like Mulan for the Disney Princess Half Marathon and, the twisting finisher medal seems like the perfect way to show off what a warrior you are for the 13.1 miles you run.
And, lastly, if you’re completing the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge (which is both the 10K and Half Marathon distance for a total of 19.3 miles, then you’ll be able to show off your accomplishment with the Moana-themed medal featuring the princess.
