Disney has theme parks around the world that are all uniquely different.
From California to Hong Kong to Florida, there are 12 parks that you can visit to experience the magic of Disney. And, none of them are the same — they each have distinct designs, attractions, and more! One of these parks is Disneyland Paris, and Disney recently released a closer look at what inspired the park’s extensive Fantasyland area.
When you think of fantasy, it’s hard not to think about iconic fairytales like Cinderella and Snow White, and Disney Imagineers felt the same way when it came to Disneyland Paris.
Disney says Imagineers worked to capture Europe’s rich architectural heritage and artistic legacy in Fantasyland. After all, the continent is the birthplace of many of the iconic fairytales we know and love.
Fantasyland sits behind La Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Disneyland Paris’ castle). It is a medieval kingdom made of several “districts” that represent different European countries that were the birthplaces of many fairytales that Walt Disney based his classics on.
These countries include France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, and even the Netherlands! Take a closer look at the inspiration and influences for the land in the private video tour from Disney Parks below.
