From a new nighttime show to exclusive panels on the creation of the park, so much is happening at Disney’s newest park! Recently, Imagineers gave us a sneak peek into one of the latest developments at Shanghai Disneyland: the new Zootopia Land.

On the Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram account, we got a glimpse at one of the new animatronics from Shanghai Disneyland’s upcoming Zootopia Land! This polar bear from Tundratown is made with some of Disney’s most sophisticated technology and stands at over nine feet tall!

Not only did we get a look at the new animatronics, but the Imagineering team also shared a progress report on construction for the new land! The first tree has officially been planted in the land and construction continues to press on as the area is expected to open this year!

The construction of Zootopia Land marks many milestones for Disney’s Imagineering, including the first construction of a highly complex animatronic outside of the United States!
