We often talk about how great Disney Springs is as a shopping and dining district, but if you’re more of a Universal person and are spending your vacation at Universal Orlando, CityWalk is also full of great options to keep you entertained and fed for an evening, or even a full day!

CityWalk also has the advantage of being directly connected to two of the three Universal Orlando parks, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, which makes exploring much easier. However, this is your heads up that Universal Orlando just announced some BIG changes coming to CityWalk soon, so things are about to start looking very different!
For those who have missed the Universal Legacy Store, we’ve got great news! While a permanent closure for this location began on January 7th, 2024, it’s returning! The Universal Legacy Store is set to return once again in late April and will be taking the place of the Universal Epic Universe Preview Center, which will close on April 13th to begin the transition.

The store will return with exclusive retro merchandise and photo opportunities inspired by popular Universal films and franchises like E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future, and Universal Monsters. At this time, there’s no official opening date, other than a late April timeline.

Fast food fans, it’s time to rejoice! Five Guys will be coming to Universal CityWalk later this summer (no official date announced just yet)! This fast food chain is known for its delicious made-to-order burgers and fries, and we have a feeling it’ll be a big hit.

However, this new restaurant will be taking the place of Burger King in CityWalk, which will close on April 21st to make way for the change. Your last chance to get a Whopper in Universal is ending soon, so grab one while you can!

As a reminder, last month we got huge news for country music fans, because Luke Combs and Opry Entertainment Group are bringing the wildly popular Luke Combs’ Category 10 entertainment venue to CityWalk! This won’t be taking the place of any existing experience, as this addition will get a brand-new waterfront location. Here, guests will be able to experience live music, food, and spirits starting in 2027. More details are set to be revealed in the coming months!

All of these new and exciting additions are about to make CityWalk even more fun for those of all ages, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news as we hear more. Stay tuned to AllEars!
