PHOTOS: Medals Revealed For 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

Although runDisney events have been virtual since the start of the global health crisis, Disney recently announced that in-person events would begin again at Disney World starting this fall.

We’ve now got a sneak peek at the medals for the 2022 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, which runs from January 5th to 9th.

And those medals will be EARidescent, celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration, which begins on October 1st, 2021. The medal for the Walt Disney World 5K stars Pluto! The little piece within it spins!

The Walt Disney World 10K medal features Oswald — he slides from left to right on the medal.

The Walt Disney World Half Marathon Medal has both Donald and Daisy on it! This one spins from the middle.

And of course, the Walt Disney World Marathon Medal is all about Mickey and Minnie! This one also spins from the middle so you can choose which mouse to rep!

Runners who take on both the Walt Disney World Half and full marathons get the Goofy Race and a Half Challenge Medal. Goofy spins around on the medal!

Runners who tackle all four races will get the Dopey Challenge Medal. That’s a whole 48.6 miles for this one.

Disney also released a video showcasing the medals.

Runners who can’t make it to Disney World in January can still participate in the 2022 Virtual Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and run on any course of their choosing. Runners can sign up for both the in-person and virtual events on the runDisney website. And we’ll keep you updated on other runDisney events, too!
