Will You Fork Over $110 for Disney World's SHINY New Souvenir?

Did you hear that Disney World is releasing 4 NEW merchandise collections for its 50th Anniversary?

What better way to celebrate the 50th?

We’ve already seen all kinds of souvenirs for this huge 18-month event, including a vintage collection, several designer bags and accessories, and Minnie ears galore. Now, there are a couple of new items in Disney World!

While we were shopping in Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we spotted part of the new EARidescent Shimmer collection! For this beautiful series, Loungefly released a new Disney backpack, and we’re a little bit obsessed.

WOW

The mini-backpack is also a Minnie backpack, with ears and a bow on the front. The ears, bow, and front zipper pocket are all covered in gold sequins.

So pretty

The rest of the bag is a gold EARidescent fabric, which catches the light and shines in rainbow colors. And there are blue accents all over the bag, including around the zippers. The adjustable straps are a matching blue color. The gold and blue combination is a nod to the Cinderella Castle.

Here’s the back

The front has a blue label that says “Disney Parks” and “Loungefly.” Now…are you ready to hear the price? Most of these mini-backpacks go for around $70 to $80 in Disney World. This one, however, will run you $110.

Like most other 50th Anniversary souvenirs, these don’t come cheap! If you’d like to add this bag to your collection, head to the Emporium in Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s of Hollywood in Hollywood Studios, or Creations Shop in EPCOT. All of these shops had the bags in stock today, but you’ll probably want to hurry — these collections tend to sell out pretty fast in the parks.
