BONUS Reservations Now Available for Disney World Annual Passholders

After a long-term suspension of Disney World Annual Pass sales, they are BACK on sale for all guests beginning today — but the program is very different.

Annual Pass

Between new Annual Pass tier options, changes to what perks are included (and what aren’t), new blockout date calendars, and even updates to how many park pass reservations a guest can hold, there’s a lot to keep track of! We’ve been bringing you the answers to all of your biggest questions, and now we’ve got a full overview of how the new Disney World Annual Passholder Bonus Reservations work!

Previously, all Disney World Annual Passholders could only hold up to 3 Park Pass Reservations at a time. However, under the new program, guests will be given a set number of maximum park passes that can be held at once based on which Annual Pass they choose to purchase.

For the new Annual Pass tiers, the breakdown is:

  • Disney Incredi-Pass: Can hold up to 5 Park Pass reservations at a time
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass: Can hold up to 5 Park Pass reservations at a time
  • Disney Pirate Pass: Can hold up to 4 Park Pass reservations at a time
  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: Can hold up to 3 Park Pass reservations at a time
That’s a lot of money to be a passholder!

And, many guests who still have an active Annual Pass under the older tier program will also see an increase in their park pass reservations based on which pass they have. The breakdown is:

  • Disney Platinum Plus Pass: Can hold up to 5 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney Platinum Pass: Can hold up to 5 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney Gold Pass: Can hold up to 5 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney Silver Pass: Can hold up to 4 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney Theme Park Select Pass: Can hold up to 3 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney Weekday Select Pass: Can hold up to 3 Park Pass reservations at once
  • Disney EPCOT After 4 Pass: Can hold up to 3 Park Pass reservations at once

But, Disney has now also introduced Bonus Park Pass Reservations, which are available on select dates and parks throughout the year. And, the best part, they don’t count towards your park pass reservation maximum!

So, how do you know which parks and dates have Bonus Reservations and how do you add them? Well, when you open up the calendar to make your park pass reservations, some dates will now have a yellow star underneath them — these are the Bonus Reservations dates.

If you’re interested in adding one to your plans, then you can click on the date. You’ll then be led to a page where you can select the park that you’d like to make a reservation for but only the park(s) in the Bonus Reservation box will not count towards your park pass reservation maximum — in this case, that’s EPCOT.

Once you select the date and park with a Bonus Reservation, you’ll be led to a confirmation page where you can later come back to modify your reservation.

It’s as simple as that! Keep in mind that bonus reservation dates may vary based on which Annual Pass level you’ve purchased so you’ll want to be sure that you’re signed in to your My Disney Experience account for the most accurate dates.

  1. As an annual pass holder for years coming from Texas, each year you pay more and get less. My wife and I go to Disney up to 5 times a year. We like to see the concerts at the Garden Rocks and Eat to the Beat. I think since we haven’t gotten all that is expected with our annual pass, I think we should get an extended 60 days then renew. It’s basically cancelling the average family to go anymore. We spend over $ 2000.00 each time we are there. That’s just at Disney World. Taking the luggage pickup and the Magical Express was the last crappy thing they did. In the long run, their will feel the effect of this benefit being gone.

    1. I totally agree. I’ve held annual passes and regular passes over the years. I used to feel I got something for the outrageous expense of going to Disneyworld. I’ve used the magical express and also driven and paid the parking fees at my hotel. The cost is going up and the value is going down. The hotel rooms have been cleansed of all Disney magic, and I could be in any hotel anywhere rather than the special Yacht Club or Beach Club rooms of yesteryear. I’m happy I was able to enjoy the Disney from years ago. I’m not sure I want to participate in its decline.
