EPCOT Has a New PROBLEM — Here’s How to Solve It

A renewed EPCOT attraction just reopened to rave reviews, but it’s leading to a new problem at Walt Disney World’s second theme park.

Breedlove loves the new Test Track!

In July 2025, EPCOT’s Test Track reopened after a refurbishment that lasted over a year. Dubbed Test Track 3.0 by fans — a nod to the original late 1990s original and the 2010s refurbished version of the attraction that preceded it — this new take on the attraction is proving to be very popular, almost too popular.

The new iteration of Test Track has met with rave reviews from many Disney fans thanks to its retro-EPCOT elements, including references to both Horizons and the ride that preceded Test Track in the Transportation Pavilion, World of Motion. That positive reaction has led to a jump in popularity for the new version of the attraction. Wait times for Test Track have been some of the highest in the park since the ride reopened, usually averaging over an hour, making it one of the park’s busiest.

So, with that in mind, what’s the best way to ensure a ride on Test Track without waiting 60 minutes or more? Well, for starters, there’s rope drop. Entering EPCOT and heading straight for the ride’s gleaming facade in the World Discovery section of the park might give you the chance to get onto Test Track comparatively quickly. Of course, this means sacrificing the chance to rope drop Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Buckle Up

Beyond its standby line, Test Track is also now a Tier 1 Lightning Lane. This highest level of Multi Pass allows purchasers to pre-select one attraction prior to their visit. Bear in mind, however, that using your Tier 1 on Test Track means you can’t prebook a Lightning Lane for  Frozen: Ever After or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

Of course, you still go outside!

Test Track is back at EPCOT, and it’s massively popular. However, there are ways to make sure you ride the newest version of the attraction. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney World tips.
