Wanna know just how magical Disney World really is? This is the only place where even unexpected problems can be a good thing!

While there are many things that can go wrong on a Disney trip, sometimes they can lead to something better, resulting in a vacation filled with pleasant surprises and happy accidents!
A Late Dinner Reservation Gives You More Time in the Park
Let’s face it: a 9PM dinner reservation isn’t ideal for most people. But the silver lining of only being able to find a super-late dining reservation is that it “forces” you to spend more time in the park!

For a lot of Disney vacationers, the hustle-bustle energy of the parks leads to hurrying through activities and meals, potentially losing out on some enjoyment and appreciation. If you must stay in the park longer to make your Advance Dining Reservation, you can slow your pace, try more rides, and maybe even discover something you’ve never done before!

Getting Stuck on a Ride Gets You a Fast Pass
Nobody wants to get stuck on a ride. Even if you love Expedition Everest, the enjoyment starts to fade when you have to evacuate mid-ride. Fortunately, though, Disney has you covered.

In certain circumstances, when guests get stuck on rides, this results in Disney gifting them with a Lightning Lane pass which can be used for most rides elsewhere in the park. In some cases, this can wind up being great for you because suddenly you could have Lightning Lane access to a ride you were more interested in to begin with! Getting evacuated could also give you a really unique behind-the-scenes view of the ride that you wouldn’t get otherwise!

Ride Closures Can Inspire You To Try Something New
For a lot of Disney World fans, there are certain rides that are absolute musts, which is all well and good, but this can sometimes prevent people from trying other attractions. But let’s say your must-do attraction is closed…what then?

If your favorite attraction isn’t operational, this could be the perfect opportunity to try something else! Check My Disney Experience to review your options (and wait times), and jump in line for something new. You may find a new favorite!

Not Being Able to Get Your Preferred Dining Reservation Can Lead to New Restaurants
Whether you’re overly attached to The Hollywood Brown Derby’s Cobb Salad or Tiffins’ Bread Service, some Table Service restaurants are notoriously difficult to get a reservation. So the next time you’re out of luck, use it as an opportunity to eat at a restaurant you’ve never been to!

For instance, if you can’t get into Tiffins, this could be the perfect time to finally try Yak & Yeti or to walk next door to finally try Nomad Lounge.

Rainy Days Can Lead to Indoor Discoveries
We all hope for warm, sunny days at Disney World, but that’s clearly not always what we get. If and when it rains, you’ll need a change of plans, and those plans will include indoor activities.

Though the rain may throw your plans into a death spiral, this might result in you spending more time on an indoor attraction that you typically skip, discovering that you actually kinda love Frozen Ever After, being forced to relax in your beautiful Disney resort, or finding exciting new merch at World of Disney! All of a sudden, a rainy day isn’t looking too bad!

Getting Stuck on the Skyliner Gives You Great Views…And a Social Media Story
Disney’s Skyliner doesn’t always go as smoothly as one would like, but that isn’t always a problem! First of all, the views from up there are unparalleled, so it’d be kinda nice to get some extra time to relax and drink in the sights.

Also, and most importantly, you’ll be equipped with a wild story to share on social media!

If Hot New Merch Sells Out, That Just Means More Money For Other Things
Sometimes when Disney releases a new merch collection, it sells out fast. If you had your heart set on it, that can be a bummer — but there’s definitely a plus side, too!

Not being able to snag the merch you want (which could be pricey anyway) will save you a lot more money, which can be used for more snacks, more experiences, and other souvenirs!

So you see, by taking a glass-half-full perspective to inevitable Disney World snafus, it’s clear that some problems that may arise can actually be better than expected! You just gotta find that silver lining!
