Fireworks are officially coming back to Disney World tomorrow night, July 1st!
We haven’t seen a fireworks show in Disney World in over a year. Tomorrow night Happily Ever After will take place in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Forever will reopen in EPCOT. Disney has been testing the firework shows over the past week to get ready. Last night, Magic Kingdom held a preview of their returning fireworks for Cast Members, and the show has changed!
According to a video of the preview posted by The Dis, the pre-show greeting of Happily Ever After is now a little different.
Before the closures, the greeting started with, “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls…” and now it begins with, “Good evening, dreamers of all ages.”
The fireworks officially begin in Magic Kingdom on July 1st at 9:15 PM, and will continue every night until October 1st, when Enchantment will take its place for the 50th anniversary celebrations.
Update: Disneyland has updated their fireworks announcement as well. According to The Orange County Register, Disneyland officials have shared that the phrase “ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls” has been removed from the announcement. Instead, guests will now hear the phrase “good evening, friends” as part of the fireworks announcement.
