As Disney World continues its reopening procedures, we’ve seen A LOT of changes.

Recently, all four of the parks shortened their operating hours as a health and safety precaution for guests and Cast Members. While Disney originally reflected these modifications through November, the parks’ hours are seeing another round of changes soon.
At this time, Magic Kingdom has been greeting guests with Character Cavalcades and Pumpkin Spice Mickey Waffles from 9 AM until 6 PM. However, guests will get an extra hour to explore Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and more when the hours are shifted to 9AM to 7PM starting November 6th. The extended hours will start at the same time as the holiday festivities, which will include an updated overlay to Cinderella Castle at night.

EPCOT will also be seeing a few changes, even though the park’s hours won’t be extended. Instead, EPCOT will move from an 11AM to 7PM schedule to 12PM until 8PM operations instead beginning November 27th. Since the Festival of the Holidays will be returning on November 29th, this schedule change could be due to the holiday festivities.

Right now, Disney hasn’t made any changes to the park hours in Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom. However, the parks both have new hours reflected on Disney’s site through November 28th now! Hollywood Studios will still be running from 10AM until 7PM, while Animal Kingdom will operate from 9AM until 5PM.

As Disney World continues to update its park hours and other operations, we’ll make sure you know everything before you go back soon! And, if you have any questions, let us know so we can find you the answers!

Has there been any information from Disney, the Florida Department of Health, the CDC, or any other entity giving the public any indication on how safe it is to go to Disney (or any of the other theme parks) now. These parks reopened a while ago, yet you never hear if any cases or outbreaks have been tied to being at Disney World. We get regular feedback on how the NBA, NHL, MLB, etc are doing and almost daily reporting on cases on college campuses, yet we should be able to get some idea how safe it is to plan a trip to WDW.
We went to Hollywood Studios in August, and the airport was certainly a far greater concern than Disney. The lines are well planned out, the crowd volume is manageable, & the restaurants are well-spaced. Wear a mask, keep your hands clean and stay conscious of your surroundings and it’s fine. The lines were much shorter (even if they look longer) so we got to do a lot. It’s worth the annoyance of the mask…have to wear that to a store anyway, might as well have fun. Universal is another story. On slow days, it’s fine, but when it got crowded, it was impossible to keep away from people who might be wearing their mask as a fake beard instead of any usefulness. Avoid it on the weekends, but weekdays are good. (Hagrid’s, btw, is the best coaster ever.)
