As we’ve been making our way around Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, we have been sipping on Blue Milk, eating a Ronto Wrap or two, and greeting all sorts of characters throughout Batuu.

But, the crown jewel of Galaxy’s Edge (AKA Rise of the Resistance) has reopened with a new Boarding Group system that allows guests to join at 10AM and 2PM. Since the parks have experienced different crowd levels since the reopening, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has seen fluctuating wait times.
According to Thrill Data, the average wait in August that guests saw was 36 minutes, which has peaked up into 42 minutes in September so far (most likely due to Labor Day Weekend starting the month). However, each day during the week sees some variance. And, if you plan on hopping back on Rise of the Resistance soon, these are the maximum Boarding Groups that we spotted during the week!
Sunday, August 30th
On average, guests can usually expect a 31 minute wait on Sundays throughout the day. However, Rise of the Resistance only hopped up to Group 85 to board the attraction in Galaxy’s Edge on the lower end of the standard.

Monday, August 31st
Mondays saw a slight climb to around a 38 minute wait, but the Boarding Groups dropped down to only 80 this week.

Tuesday, September 1st
Surprisingly, Tuesday has a longer wait at 42 minutes generally, yet 95 Boarding Groups were brought onto the attraction (despite the greater wait time).

Wednesday, September 2nd
The waits tend to drop down in the middle of the week, going from 42 minutes to only 36. However, 100 groups were brought onto Rise of the Resistance to face off against the First Order this past Wednesday.

Thursday, September 3rd
The wait time stayed pretty steady at 37 minutes the next day, but the groups boarded this week saw a significant fall to only 87.

Friday, September 4th
The Boarding Groups remained at a wait time of 38 minutes, but there were around 86 to 103 groups boarded at the start of Labor Day Weekend.

Saturday, September 5th
Despite the increasing amount of crowds in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the wait for Rise of the Resistance was only 35 minutes (even with the park hitting capacity). 128 groups were boarded onto the attraction, making sure that as many guests were able to ride as possible.

As the Halloween season starts, the crowds may seem some differences again over the next few months. Although we’re not sure what changes might come to Rise of the Resistance with new wait times and crowd levels, we’ll keep you updated!
