On top of celebrating Disney World’s reopening, fans everywhere can say “happy birthday” to Cinderella since her classic film has turned 70 this year!

And, Disney’s gift to one of its original princesses is a makeover of the Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom! Since the castle has been under construction recently, we’ve been able to catch a few glimpses of the soft pink hue that is being added to the exterior of Cinderella Castle.
While we are back at the Disney Resorts today, we were actually able to catch a better view of the new Cinderella Castle makeover from Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

The castle is looking very pink and royal blue! The makeover has really come a long way over the course of the closure.

When we left Disney World before the closures, the construction had barely begun. But, we have some hopes that the castle’s makeover will be finished by the time Magic Kingdom re-opens on July 11th.

If you want to be one of the first people to see Cinderella Castle’s new look in person, Disney Park Passes have also gone live today for resort guests! Annual Passholders and regular ticket holders will also be able to make reservations starting later this week.

We’ll keep you update on the progress of Cinderella Castle’s makeover here!

I always said Disney had the perfect castle, but no longer.
Looking at the pictures, all I can ask is if Disney was on drugs when they chose those colors and I mean the pink and the blue. It is the most God-awful looking castle I’ve ever seen.
They HAD to be on drugs.
Not a fan. I preferred it just as it was.
A travesty, truly. I miss the classic colors and really hope this is just 2020 insanity and will return back to what we love for the 50th!!
oh boy i hope that looks better up close. that is making me think of a birthday cake from years gone by?! it looks pretty cheesy from the distance.
I know, I was so relieved when birthday castle finally went away. It was hideous. I still miss when you could go through the archway in the castle to look at the mosaics, and the little store that you could look up your family name.
Pink? Gross!
