EXCLUSIVE Event Announced for Muppet*Vision 3D Following Its Permanent Closure

It’s (almost) time to play the music and light the lights one last time in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo are permanently closing after June 7th to make way for a brand new Monsters, Inc. themed land. We’ve had several months to say goodbye to the beloved attraction, but it was just announced that Cast Members will get the final show!

That’s right. Cast Members who work at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be invited to an exclusive party happening on June 10th. During the event, they’ll be the last people to experience the land and Muppet*Vision 3D itself.

Yes, Cast Members will get to see the show a few days after the attraction officially closes to park guests. As any Muppets fans would be, we are jealous, but we’re so happy for the Cast Members who can experience this!

While the closure of this iconic show has upset many Disney fans, Disney confirmed that it will be remembered in a different way. It’s unclear if this means it’ll end up on Disney+ one day, or if it’s something else entirely, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

In the meantime, we’re waiting for more news on the new Monsters, Inc. land. We already know there will be a roller coaster, new restaurants, and more based on Disney’s announcements and the concept art. We’re hoping to learn more at Destination D23 this August!

It’s also important to note that the Muppets are not leaving Hollywood Studios forever! Disney previously announced that the Muppets would be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. There is currently no timeline for this change, but we’re keeping an eye on it!
