And now, it looks like Disney is gearing up for the biggest present to Cinderella that they could think of: a makeover to Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom!

According to Jason Kirk, the current Vice President of Magic Kingdom Park, Cinderella Castle is going to see some renovations in honor of Cinderella’s 70th Birthday! Pretty convenient that those renovations are coming so close to Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, huh?

Looking at the concept art, it seems that the Castle will receive a fresh royal blue paint job to the turrets and gold accents across the structure to match the top of the castle.

The renovations should begin in the next few weeks and will continue through the summer. However, it’s important to note that none of the work will interrupt Happily Ever After or Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire!

  1. The concept is very regal looking. I read some posts about pink- – never again! Our kids called it the “Pepto Bismol” castle.

  2. Will we be able to still take pics in front of the castle? We are used to the crane in most photos. This sounds like the crane brought reinforcements along 😏

  3. If it matches the concept art, I think it will look amazing. Yet, I know there are others out there that will view this as an insult to the memory of Walt Disney. It’s impossible to please everyone.
