This EPCOT France Pavilion Trend Is Getting Out of Control

When it comes to the EPCOT World Showcase Pavilions, some are more popular than others.

World Showcase crowds

The past few years, one seems to reign above the rest — France! Thanks to the expansion with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, this place has been POPULAR. And unfortunately, that means that we’ve been dealing with an inconvenient trend.

One of our favorite places to grab a snack in EPCOT is a little bakery in the France Pavilion called Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. This spot was a hidden gem for a while, but news of its delicious eats has spread far and wide in recent years.

Les Halles Boulangerie et Patisserie

And especially with people flocking to France in the mornings to rope drop Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, this spot has started to garner quite a crowd during the breakfast and lunch hours. They have quite an extensive menu, so there’s typically a little bit of something for everyone.

Seating area

In the morning, you may be inclined to grab a delicious pastry like a baguette or a croissant, while lunchtime brings the perfect time of day for one of their sandwiches, the lobster bisque in a bread bowl, or a sweet treat.

But if you’re heading over here during the first half of the day, be WARNED. The lines get so long that they can often stretch out the door. And unlike some other spots around the park, you won’t find Mobile Order here. So you’re committing to waiting in a long queue.

Thankfully, since the food is already prepared, you won’t face too much of a wait after you order. But the crowds also mean that it’s typically VERY difficult to find a seat in the limited dining room.

Hard to find a seat!

We spend most of our meals here dining at one of the standing tables. If we have particularly bad luck, we’ve even taken our food out into the France Pavilion to sit in the sun on the stone benches.

Our meal

No matter where you eat these snacks, they’re usually 10/10 in our book. So the next time you visit EPCOT, make sure to stop by — just plan your visit carefully and be prepared to wait.

  1. One of my favorite QS at EP. Wish they would do something about the seating. Only about a dozen tables, and no close outside seating either.

  2. This is one of the worst places in Epcot for table hogs. People sit at a table and wait for their party to go through the long line. I could have eaten my meal in the time it took your family to arrive! Mobile order would be amazing here. In fact, many of the Epcot pavilions could benefit from mobile order.

  3. My mom and I love the pastry’s we get one after we have lunch it is our sweet treat the pastries are so good

  4. The Land was always a favorite for us for breakfast… But with the Skyline gondola to International Gateway now, there’s probably a ton of people arriving at that entrance in the morning right next to The France pavilion 🚡

  5. Ham and Cheese Baguette is the best way to start my EPCOT day. Good place to stop for a snack mid-day when heading back to the hotel in the skyline too. As mentioned in the article, the dining room needs to be doubled at this point. Or at least need about twenty tables outside and move the strollers away.

    1. Its completely inept management and parks operations with this location. Get the merch out of there already!! Move it elsewhere and add more tables and chairs, common sense! They are operating this like its 1982 and you cant do that anymore. There are hordes of people, nowhere to sit outside either and making people sit on the hard concrete is inexcusable. Its pathetic and sad, they have got to stop operating lcoations like they are going out of business. The lack of management and how they are running this is beyond poor. We refuse to go back in there anymore. While I am on a rant, bring back Impressions de France get rid of the preschool lame show and stroller fiasco. Honestly Disney has no brain skills anymore.
