Day in the Life at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Here is my Day in the Life at Disney’s Hollywood Studios from early March, 2020 before the closure because of COVID-19. Will give you tips and links as I bring you all with me.

If you drive to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and park, do not forget to photograph the location of your vehicle. I have seen plenty of people wandering the huge parking lots in search of theirs. Do not be one of them.

First order of the day after entering was to head over to Toy Story Land and use our FastPasses for Slinky Dog Dash.

Here we are being launched from Andy’s Power Booster.

After our stomach’s settled a bit, we headed over for some adult beverages in the ’50s Prime Time Café’s Lounge. I found this old black and white TV showing old 1950’s sitcoms.

In between clips, it reminded everyone watching where they were. In using a Fisheye lens, I got in close to the TV and centered it. I liked how the light in the room was from old incandescent lightbulbs and sunlight coming through the glass cubes.

Afterwards, we went shopping down Hollywood Blvd. and browsed through Mickey’s of Hollywood where I found this batch of plush toys.

Again, using the Fisheye lens, I got in close and let the background wrap around all the Mickeys.

Finally, our Boarding Party was called for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance back in Galaxy’s Edge. Upon getting our instructions as new Resistance recruits we headed out to space on a transport.

The transport was commanded by Lieutenant Bek and he tried to calm us as First Order TIE Fighters attacked and captured us. The Fisheye lens being very fast at f/2.8, it was able to pull in the colorful scene.

Escaping from the First Order got our adrenaline going and we headed over to Sunset Blvd. to check in at the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

I, again, took a series of photos to create this High Dynamic Range image as the clouds above created a suitable mood for a trip to the Twilight Zone.
