Please, Disney, no more changes, please! There are so many changes continuing to hit Disney’s Hollywood Studios as major construction takes place in the former Animation Courtyard and Muppets Courtyard locations to transform them into something new. Don’t get us wrong, we love “new” at Disney, but the parks we used to be able to navigate with our eyes closed are getting a little jumbled.

While Animation Courtyard is largely closed, The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure and Walt Disney Presents are both still open for guests and are largely unaffected. However, Disney just announced that a meet and greet in this area would be temporarily moving…but we’re not sure for how long.
On the My Disney Experience app and Disney World website, you’ll now see that the experience of meeting Ariel inside her location at Walt Disney Presents will become unavailable beginning October 28th. She’ll instead be greeting guests over near 50’s Prime Time Cafe by Echo Lake, which is quite the location change!

While there’s no construction happening inside the Walt Disney Presents building, it’s possible that the nearby demolition could cause so much noise right up against the walls of this building that it would be disruptive to guests inside the meet and greet. If that IS the case, we’re hoping we won’t see a closure hit the One Man’s Dream show inside Walt Disney Presents as well. Or, it’s possible Disney needs to touch up the area of Ariel’s meet and greet, and that’s the reason for the closure.

Now this move is listed as temporary, but at this time, there’s no way to know just how long it will be happening. We’ll be keeping an eye on the website, but if you know you’ve got a trip coming up and want to meet her, we suggest checking the My Disney Experience App to see where she’ll be meeting that day. Disney likely won’t announce to us when she moves back to her place; this note in the app/on the website will most likely just quietly go away.
