REVIEW: EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion Just Proved Again Why The Only Correct Answer Is “Left”

When it comes to good food and drink in Disney World, EPCOT is the place to be!

You can drink around the world, find so many Disney World snack staples, and more in this theme park. For many people, starting your day in the Mexico Pavilion is a must, and thanks to this fun drink, we’re turning left every single time!

It’s true that we love to drink around the world in EPCOT, but we also know it’s not for everyone! If you don’t know, Drinking Around the World refers to when you grab a fun (and typically alcoholic) beverage in each country within the World Showcase. While we think it’s tons of fun, we know not everyone can or wants to grab an adult beverage in the theme park. That’s where this drink from the Mexico Pavilion comes in!

Over at La Cantina de San Angel, you can find the La Cantina Slushy for $6. This non-alcoholic slushy was “straight-up delicious” according to our reporter! The menu doesn’t list the exact flavors, but Cast Members shared with us that it’s a pre-mixed fruit-punch concoction. The dominant flavor is mango, with strong notes of guava and maybe even passionfruit.

We don’t think we’ve tried anything quite like this on Disney World property. It reminded us of a tropical fruit punch, which we loved. The flavors tasted like real fruit rather than anything artificial. Our only complaint is that it is on the smaller size.  Unlike the usual slushes in clear plastic cups with character rims, this one is served in the small fountain-soda style “free water” cup.

We felt like $6 was pretty steep for that size, especially with nothing extra (no boba, no foam, etc.) For comparison, a La Fou’s Brew costs $6.99 in Magic Kingdom.

That being said, this flavor is so unique, and we would get it again and again.  If you’re slush-obsessed like we are, you need to try the BoardWalk’s Screen Door for their apple juice slush! It’s bigger, super refreshing, and only $5.99 for a larger size. It’s the same frozen Apple juice base as La Fou’s Brew, but without the topping.

We seriously loved the La Cantina Slushy, especially because anyone can enjoy it (or at the very least test it out). As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney reviews, tips, and more!
