If you’re heading to Disney World, be WARNED.

You could experience problems with a variety of things during your trip — mobile order return times that are later than you might have expected, technical issues that could seriously mess up your plans, and closures you didn’t anticipate. If you’re in Disney World today, a few sudden ride closures might really throw off your schedule — here’s what you need to know!
As we were strolling through Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed that The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror was CLOSED. We spoke with a Cast Member who said that they were not sure when the ride would be back up, but they did hope that it would reopen today.
Cast Members were standing outside the attraction redirecting guests and answering their questions. UPDATE: Tower of Terror has reopened.

But there’s ANOTHER closure to consider. When we checked the My Disney Experience app, we also saw that Test Track was closed in EPCOT. This was at around 2:41PM ET. As of around 3:16PM ET, the ride was still closed.
The Cast Members at Test Track indicated that they were unsure if it would reopen later. We also noticed that no guests were waiting in the queue.

- Check the My Disney Experience app constantly for updates (if a wait time is displayed, you’ll know the ride has likely reopened!)
- Ask Cast Members outside of the attraction if they know what has happened and if they have a better idea about when the ride might reopen
- Come up with a plan “B” in case one of your must-do rides unexpectedly closes
- Mentally prepare little ones for potential closures by discussing the possibility at home
- Use that closure time to knock other things off of your list, take a break, grab a snack, or otherwise utilize your time in the park!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for updates and let you know what we see. Stay tuned for more news!
