There’s so much to see and do in Disney World, whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth.

With so much to check out, you naturally want to make the most of your time as best as possible. This being said, you probably don’t want to spend your time waiting in long lines! Luckily, there are a few different ways to skip the line in Disney World, and we’re sharing them with you!
Genie+
In the Fall of 2021, Disney World replaced its FastPass+ program (which was suspended during the closures in 2020) with Genie+, a new way to “skip the lines” at your favorite rides and attractions. The biggest difference with this new system is that Genie+ is a PAID version of FastPass+, meaning that you have to pay a fee to use it.

In Disney World, Genie+ costs anywhere from $15-$35 per guest, per day depending on if you choose one park or the multi-park option. — which you can buy day-by-day once your trip has begun. Once purchased, Genie+ gives guests the opportunity to book same-day return times to access a ride’s “Lightning Lane” (formerly known as the FastPass lane).

Keep in mind, however, that Genie+ won’t give you access to EVERY ride’s Lightning Lane. High-demand rides like Rise of the Resistance will require a separate fee (you do not need to have Genie+ to purchase these ‘a la carte’ rides’ return times).

Standby queues and virtual queues will continue to be available to guests at no additional charge, but if you want to experience those expedited wait times once again, you will need to purchase Genie+ or the individual rides.
Mobile Merchandise Checkout
In 2020, Disney was testing out a new feature at merchandise locations in Disney World called Mobile Merchandise Checkout. This system essentially allows you to skip the lines and do your shopping (checkout and all) on your own!

You’ll shop around for your souvenirs as normal, and you’ll actually scan them into your My Disney Experience App. Once you’ve finished shopping, you’ll pay in the app — allowing you to bypass any checkout lines. On your way out, you’ll show your designated QR code to a Cast Member and that’s that! Easy enough, right?

This feature is now available in many locations so be sure to check it out on your next shopping spree in Disney World!
Online Resort Check-In
If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, this tip is for you. When you have a reservation at a Disney Resort, you’ll actually be able to complete the check-in process online sixty days prior to your stay!

You’ll be able to do this through My Disney Experience online, where you’ll provide your personal information as you would during an in-person check-in. When your room is ready for you, you’ll receive a message via email or on your phone. Then, you can go straight to the room!

Although using this process doesn’t mean your room will be ready sooner, you can skip any time spent in line waiting to check-in.
Mobile Dine Check-In
Mobile dine check-in was introduced as Disney Resorts began the reopening process following COVID-19 closures. This option allows for guests with dining reservations to check-in from their phone, rather than doing so in person at the restaurant.

You’ll be able to begin the check-in process through the My Disney Experience App or by scanning the restaurant’s allocated QR code. You can expect questions about your party’s size, accessibility seating, celebrations, and dietary requests.

Then, you’ll receive a text notification when your table is ready! You can see which restaurants offer mobile dine check-in on our list here!
VIP Tours
Disney World typically offers a whole bunch of different tours for those wanting a really unique experience!

You can also book private VIP tours that you and your family can customize in order to see and do everything you want! You’ll be able to skip the lines at some of your fave attractions alongside an expert tour guide!

Sounds pretty sweet, right? These tours have great perks, but they’ll cost ya. The price of these tours can range between $425 and $750 per HOUR! And that doesn’t even include the park ticket you’ll need to embark on the tour, too.

So, if you’re looking to make the most of an action-packed day in Disney World, these are some of the best ways to skip the line! Check back with us for more Disney tips!
