Homage to Steamboat Willie
And did you know that Disney is also paying homage to Steamboat Willie in this new attraction? Well, they are! They are doing this by using the original tri-tone whistle for the train. Pretty cool, right?!

No Special Glasses Required
Runaway Railway is a 2 1/2-D experience — no glasses are required! According to Walt Disney Imagineer Kevin Rafferty, the teams has invented “new technologies that turn the flat world of a colorful cartoon short into a “dimensional display of amazingness.” We’d say they nailed it!

FastPass+ is available for this new attraction, and they’re already available on the My Disney Experience app. So if you time it right you can snag a FastPass so you won’t have to wait in the hefty new attraction lines.

Runaway Railway FastPass Tiers Impact
With the addition of FastPass to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, we have seen a change in FastPass Tiers. Slinky Dog Dash, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway are ALL tier one attractions.
