This Disney World Attraction Has FINALLY Reopened After A Two-Month Closure

We’ve waited what feels like FOREVER for this reopening, but in reality, it’s only been since October.

Back on October 20th, Vacation Fun in Disney’s Hollywood Studios closed for refurbishment, and it wasn’t until the middle of December that it was confirmed to be reopening right before the new year. As of today, December 27th, it’s officially reopened!

Disney never officially listed what the reason for the Vacation Fun closure was, or why it took two months, so we were very curious to step back inside the theater and see what had changed.

As it turns out, the only difference is that Potatoland is back! Potatoland was removed when the exit area of the theater was used as the merchandise location for Jollywood Nights, but now it’s back. It’s possible that the carpet and seats have been cleaned, and perhaps some of the curtains have been replaced or brightened as well, but we don’t know that for sure.

This is an animated short starring Mickey and Minnie. It has a runtime of about 11 minutes, so it’s great for a short break to sit down in a climate-controlled environment, which is always nice if it’s hot or cold outside. It’s super entertaining and cute, but it can ALSO be a great spot for a nap.

When you exit the attraction, don’t forget to check out the multiple photo ops available that are from the various vacation spots you just saw in the film, because yes, there are more than just Potatoland!

It’s lots of fun, and if you need a spot with A/C but don’t want to watch the whole film, at any time the attraction is open, you can also just head into this exit room to rest as well.
