CONFIRMED: Disney’s Hollywood Studios Attraction Will Reopen This Month

This has been the year of closures for Disney World. Some closures have been permanent, like Muppets Courtyard. Other closures are for big ride updates like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

We also often see pretty short closures that only encompass a month or two. That’s the case with Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which closed in October. Well, now we know when this attraction will reopen.

Vacation Fun closed on October 20th for refurbishsment. According to the Disney World calendar, the ride is set to reopen on December 27th and will be open that day from 8:30 AM to 8 PM.

Vacation Fun is an original animated short starring Mickey and Minnie. Its runtime is about 11 minutes, so it’s great for a short break that gives you a chance to sit down in a climate-controlled environment, which is always nice if it’s hot or cold outside. The kids will also probably love it.

However, other parts of Hollywood Studios remain closed, including Muppets Courtyard, as we previously mentioned, as it gets reimagined into a Monsters, Inc. land. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is set to close on March 2nd to reopen this summer as a Muppets-themed ride. Animation Courtyard is closing in phases as it’s reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios.
