Planning a trip to Disney World and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place, because we’re here to help!

We know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants to help you decide where to eat, and where you may want to avoid. We recently stopped by 1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort for breakfast and are bringing you our FULL review!
Background
This was one of the last restaurants to reopen on the Disney World property following the 2020 park closures, but it officially reopened its doors on April 10th, 2024.

The restaurant originally featured a character meet-and-greet with characters like Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and the stepsisters: Anastasia and Drizella. However, now you can meet Aladdin, Cinderella, Tiana, and Mirabel.

But what exactly can you expect when you walk into this restaurant?
Atmosphere
When you walk inside, you’ll be directed to a comfortable seating area if you need to wait a few minutes for your party to be called. You’ll notice that the whole restaurant really matches the vibe of Grand Floridian as a whole, but don’t forget to check out the new mural and 12 portraits Disney added when the restaurant reopened!

You’ll also still be able to see “Big Bertha,” the antique organ that’s been around since 1988. She’s pretty incredible!

There are numerous different styles of seating around the restaurant, and there are a few smaller rooms in addition to the main dining area. While you can make a special request on your reservation if you’d like to eat somewhere specific, know that it may not be fulfilled.

When you sit down at your table, it’s recommended that you take a look at the menu and order any drinks you’d like right away, so that you can get up and go to the buffet before the characters begin coming around. That’s what we did, and we felt we had plenty of time to eat a bit before the characters came around to say hello. The characters do come one right after the other in pretty quick succession, so you’ll want to be sure you’re sitting at your table! This way, you’re also back in your seat in plenty of time for the Wishes ceremony, which is super special!

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
1900 Park Fare is a buffet, so for breakfast (as well as for dinner), you can hop up from your table and grab whatever you’d like from the buffet, as many times as you’d like!

Just some of the options we saw available were:
- Doughnut Holes
- Double Chocolate Muffins
- Guava and Cream Cheese Danish
- Banana Bread
- Strawberry Soup

- Croissant Breakfast Pizza
- Potato Barrels

- Fresh Fruit

- Various Meats (including Bacon and Sausage)

- Croissants
- Toast
- Bagels
- Mickey Waffles
- Pancakes

- Biscuits and Gravy

- Scrambled Eggs
- Omelets

We picked up a plate of some of our favorites, and while our slice of the ham wasn’t the best texture-wise, we think it’s just because we got a strange section of it, because the flavor was great. However, the Potato Barrels were crispy and delicious, and the Cheesy Potato Casserole totally blew us away. It was cheesy and potato-ey in the best way, had just enough salt, and it was overall fantastic.

The Double Chocolate Chip muffin was a bit on the dry side, but the chocolate flavor was great. Our reporter grew up eating grits, and gave the Cheesy Grits her full approval — they were beautifully cheesy, thick, warm, and not dry in the slightest.

We also tried the Sticky Cinnamon Pull-Apart Bread, and while the flavors were spot on, with the glaze being perfectly sticky and sweet and the bread being on the lighter side to balance it, we do feel the bread was just a bit overbaked.

We couldn’t leave without grabbing some of the iconic Strawberry Soup, and it was as great as we remembered! It’s basically a nice strawberry smoothie made into a soup — it wasn’t overly sweet or too tart. It’s iconic here, and absolutely worth a try!

To drink, we picked up the So Many Wishes for $6.79, which is one of the mocktails on the menu. It’s important to note that a mocktail doesn’t have any alcohol at all, while the zero-proof cocktails on the menu use zero-proof spirits, which could still have other liquors in them that make it a low enough alcohol content to make it “zero-proof,” but some may still be present. This drink, being a mocktail, was entirely non-alcoholic.

This is supposed to have pomegranate green tea in it, but we were only getting pink lemonade vibes and tastes. We tasted some strawberry, maybe a hint of raspberry, but we definitely weren’t getting pomegranate or green tea. It was super tangy with just a hint of sweetness, so anyone who likes pink lemonade will likely enjoy this.

Services: Buffet/All You Care to Eat
Overall, we would choose this restaurant over Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort a THOUSAND times over. We didn’t feel rushed, it wasn’t overly loud or overwhelming, and yet the experience with the characters was still magical and fun. The food was pretty solid for a breakfast buffet, and we think it’s a great fit for lots of families.

In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
