Did You Know About ALL of These Hidden Details in Disney World’s Newest Land?

Despite it not being scheduled to open until May 26th, Disney surprised us by opening up the Walt Disney Studios area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios early!

The Walt Disney Studios in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

One of our favorite things about new things opening up at Disney World is trying to find all the little details in everything. Now that the Walt Disney Studios courtyard is open early, we got to walk around the stunning area and do just that. You won’t believe how many amazing details are in this new courtyard. Of course, we’re going to share them with you!

The Walt Disney Studios is a new area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that is inspired by Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. The whole idea with this area was that Disney’s animated characters would “leap off the screen and into our world.” That statement couldn’t have been more accurate, because animation coming into our world is EXACTLY what you get here.

It’s here!

There are tons of little details that are a nod to both the Burbank Walt Disney Studios lot and Disney’s iconic characters. Let’s start with the entrance, where there’s a replica of the entrance sign you’ll find if you visit Disney’s Burbank headquarters.

As soon as we set foot on the courtyard, the first thing that caught our eye was Pluto’s Corner, which is a replica of Pluto’s Corner at the Burbank lot. Yes, it has the street sign and a fire hydrant. Crazy enough, the street sign is almost identical to the Burbank one.

LOVE this corner!

There are posters of Disney movies from every era, old and new. They add that extra Disney feel to the courtyard, while making it seem like this is a real movie studio.

Our favorite part of the Walt Disney Studios courtyard has to be the Disney characters that you’ll find all throughout the area. It feels like we’re sharing the space with our friends from our favorite Disney films.

Pua and Thumper!

You’ll find Lucifer from Cinderella behind the seating area with the benches.

It’s Lucifer!

We also found some of our favorite mice, Jaq and Gus from Cinderella, with Timothy Mouse from Dumbo.

Jaq, Gus, and Timothy!

You’ll seriously find Disney characters everywhere.

Look at the birds!

No…EVERYWHERE!

There are characters everywhere!

Whether you’re a fan of the newer Disney movies or Disney classics, there’s a character that everyone will say “awe” to at this courtyard. We’re loving that the area is showing some love to Robin Hood.

So many characters!

Look at Abu peeking through the Studio Store sign!

Hey Abu!

We know we said the characters are our favorite part of the courtyard, but you could argue it’s the handprints of some pretty famous Disney characters in the concrete. You’ll find Moana, Maui…

…Ursula, Robin Hood, Little John, and more. How cute is that paw print of Simba’s paw inside Mufasa’s?!

We seriously can’t get enough of this new courtyard at Hollywood Studios. We love all of the little details Disney put into this area. We can’t wait to see the rest of the area open later with the Magic of Disney Animation! For all the latest Disney news and updates, make sure to follow us at AllEars.
